Gregg D. Colton
Founder and President

Mr. Colton has more than 26-years of successful leadership experience in Law Enforcement, Corporate Loss Prevention and Examination Security.  During which time he has been directly involved with various aspects of the criminal justice system, on the local, state and federal level.  He has initiated and supervised criminal and civil investigations on an international scale.  For the last 17-years Mr. Colton’s primary focus has been toward and specialized in examination security.  As such and based on his experience, knowledge, and reputation has become an internationally recognized leading expert in the area of examination security.

Mr. Colton is a widely sought after speaker, author and consultant relating to matters of examination security.  

Mr. Colton also has an extensive background in corporate loss prevention, investigations, electronic surveillance systems, and has designed and implemented various loss prevention strategies.  Designed and supervised the implementation of training programs for personnel to detect and prevent the theft and/or misappropriation of company property.  Has acted as a senior consultant for existing loss prevention departments, and is extremely knowledgeable in the development and implementation of effective loss prevention protocols.

As a nationally recognized authority relating to loss prevention, theft, misappropriation of intellectual property, trade secrets and examination materials.  He has acted as a story line consultant, interviewed by various national news and media organizations.  He has also written and published various materials relating to loss prevention and the theft of intellectual property, trade secrets, and examination material.

Throughout the years, Mr. Colton’s writings in the area of examination security have been published and used as a pivotal point of reference by other authors and guidelines by various organizations, both governmental and private.

  • “Exam Security and High-Tech Cheating,” an article for “The Bar Examiner,” a periodical published by the National Conference of Bar Examiners.
  •  “Exam Security,” a chapter in a book entitled Certification and Licensure Testing: A Comprehensive Resource, published in 1996 by the National Organization for Competency Assurance (NOCA).
  • “Exam Security,” a chapter in a book yet to be titled relating to Certification and Licensure Testing: A Comprehensive Resource, scheduled for publication in 2010 by the National Organization for Competency Assurance (NOCA).
  • “High-Tech Approaches to Breaching Exam Security,” white paper published in the 1997 issue of Resources in Education (RIE), as well as the monthly abstract publication of the Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC).  
  • “The Internet: An Investigative Tool,” A training article/paper written and presented at the NCEES Annual Meeting, Law Enforcement Program.
